From Atlanta to Connecticut. Wedding Celebration at Aria in Prospect, CT

Wedding Planning in itself can be a lot to handle; add planning a wedding in Connecticut, while living in Atlanta. This was the challenge for Vernesha and Avery, who were planning a wedding in Connecticut in order to have certain family members be able to attend.

Both ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Aria Banquets. A modern wedding venue with outdoor ceremony space, and the ability to host multiple weddings at the same time.

“I can't even put the words together to say how amazing Yvonne and her assistant were in making our day smooth and special. Her dedication from the time of consultation leading up to the big day was amazing!”

Planning a Wedding at Aria in Prospect, CT: What to Know

Wedding day kicked off at the Courtyard Marriott in Waterbury, CT. Our comprehensive wedding day timeline coupled with having an Events by Mayven Lead Planner onsite helping to keep everyone on track. Bridal Prep, which involves getting hair and makeup for the bride and bridesmaids, was at the hotel and then Vernesha, her girls and their dresses were transported to the venue to get dressed in the bridal suite.

Keep in mind the couple had opted to not have a first-look, and so our team had to coordinate movement of both the bride and bridesmaids, and the groom and his groomsmen in a way that was seamless, but ensured that both parties would not see each other. Reason #808 why having a planner to oversee and coordinate your day is invaluable.

Simultaneously, our Assistant Coordinator was at the venue handling vendor setup and placement of personal items (signage, memorial table, guest favors etc.). Florals and decor were provided by Maggie Zalewski of Not Just Flowers. The bride went with a mix of white flowers, and crystal candelabras for the centerpieces.

New York Wedding Planner's Recap on this Connecticut Wedding

Aria is a great venue in the sense that you have the option of having an outdoor or indoor ceremony at their chapel. Great backup in the event of bad weather conditions. Ballrooms are modern, have natural light and the grand staircase for your reception entrances.

Additionally, the bridal suites are relatively spacious, filled with natural light and there are lots of spots around the venue for photo ops.

Favorite Wedding Planner Moment

Some of my favorite moments from Vernesha & Avery’s wedding were watching them genuinely enjoy being on the dance floor, vibing to songs that they loved with their friends and family. For their reception entrance, they came in holding flags from their favorite football team, The Steelers.

After all the work and planning that’s been done, it means nothing if you’re unable to actually enjoy your wedding day. Be present in the moment, connect with your love – holding hands, stealing kisses and just taking it all in together.
