Hello! Glad that your search for an event planner in the tri-state area has brought you here to Events by Mayven. I am Yvonne, the heart and brains behind this planning and management company that produces events across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

How did I get started in the events industry?

Well, my professional background started in advertising, marketing and PR working at global agencies, in tech and freelancing on industry events. I bit the wedding bug after planning my own wedding, and wanting to recreate the experience for others. With that, Events By Mayven was born!

So, who exactly is Mayven?

The name Events By Mayven is an homage to my Mom who I love dearly, and appreciate beyond words. Mayven is a merge of both our names ‘Mabel’ and ‘Yvonne’.

Also, it is in reference to the word Maven, which means “an expert or connoisseur on a particular subject. Someone with a deep understanding and passion for a specific field”. You can call me ‘The Event Maven’ or ‘The Event Connoisseur’
